Right, I have four hours and I am rushing to bash out nine reviews before my New Year's Eve deadline closes off everyfilm's dismal 2019.
One of the better moments came watching the re-release of Richard Donner's The Goonies which was based on a concept by Steven Spielberg
Yep, the kids' adventure with pirate ships, Italian mobsters and real estate agents threatening to foreclose on their parents' house.
Oh, and yes, a character called Chunk (Jeff Cohen) who is forced to wiggle his flabby belly by his pals.
By the way, Cohen, who gave up acting in 1991, is unrecognisable nowadays - a handsome slim attorney who founded his own law firm.
I digress. The Goonies is straight out of the mid-1980s adventure film catalogue - falling between Gremlins, Lost Boys and any one of the Indiana Jones films.
Its gang of kids are wide-eyed in their hunt for treasure and handling of the many many obstacles which stand in their way.
Some of its references are very much a throwback to casual racism and stereotyping of the day but its basic plot is imaginative and exciting.
Indeed, watching it made me hanker after more old-fashioned family movies - although I am not sure whether Josh Brolin who plays a big brother of one of the gang will look back on it quite so kindly.
It was two hours which sped by as fast now as they did in 1985.

Reasons to watch: A symbol of how family films were made in the 1980s
Reasons to avoid: Its casual racism doesn't pass the test of time

Laughs: Three
Jumps: None
Vomit: None
Nudity: None
Overall rating: 8.5/10

Did you know? The movie was shot almost entirely in sequence in Astoria, Oregon on a five-month schedule. Other locations, like the tunnels and the cave with One-Eyed Willy’s pirate ship, were shot on massive soundstages in Burbank, California.

The final word. Josh Brolin: "I don’t think there’s any reason to do it (a return) because why do you want to taint the original? We’ve already done it with so many movies and tainted the original movie with something that’s not even close to being as good or as iconic. But it sure is fun talking about it, isn’t it? Inno Tech Today
